Metabolix, Inc. to Present at Investor Conference

Cambridge, Massachusetts, March 12, 2008

Metabolix, Inc. (NASDAQ: MBLX) a bioscience company focused on developing clean, sustainable solutions for the world’s needs for plastics, chemicals and energy, today announced that it will be presenting at the CitiGroup Small and Mid-Cap Conference taking place March 17 - 19, 2008 in Las Vegas.

Dr. Jay Kouba, the Company’s Chairman of the Board, will be presenting on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 9:25 a.m. Pacific Time (12:25 p.m. Eastern Time). Dr. Kouba will be accompanied at the conference by Rick Eno, the recently appointed CEO of Metabolix.
