Cambridge, Massachusetts. Metabolix, Inc. (NASDAQ: MBLX) a company developing and commercializing environmentally sustainable and biodegradable plastic, announced today that Thomas G. Auchincloss, Jr. will be resigning from his positions as Chief Financial Officer, Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development and Treasurer of the company effective August 10, 2007. Mr. Auchincloss will continue to be employed by Metabolix and will work to progress ongoing business development projects, to assist with transition and to handle other matters. A search for a successor has been initiated.
