Metabolix Announces Annual Shareholder Meeting

(NASDAQ: MBLX), a company developing and commercializing environmentally sustainable and totally biodegradable Mirel bioplastic, today announced that the Company's annual meeting of stockholders will be held on May 17, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time at the Royal Sonesta Hotel Boston located at 40 Edwin Land Blvd. Cambridge, MA. The record date for determining stockholders entitled to vote at the annual meeting has been set as March 23, 2007.
